The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Why are the critics kissing this film’s ass? IT WAS AWFUL. It was the poor man’s “Forrest Gump.” Instead of a shrimp boat there was a tug boat. Instead of a Vietnam ambush, there was a Japanese sub. Instead of a feather, there was a CORNY HUMMINGBIRD.

There were so many pointless, *beep* useless, laughably bad scenes in this film:

1) THE CLOCK. It went backwards. So what? It never tied into the story. At all. And yet, we had to hear a 20 minute long story about how it was made by some blind dude? Who gives a S***?

2) The tugboat captain’s stupid jokes in the Russian bar. LAME AND POINTLESS. And he was a tattoo artist. So what? Who cares?

3) The guy telling the reoccurring “joke” about getting hit by lightning 7 times. UNFUNNY AND POINTLESS.

4) Benjamin’s secondary relationship with the married English woman in the hotel lobby. POINTLESS AND A WASTE OF THE VIEWER’S TIME. This took up 20 minutes of time in the movie. Hi, David Fincher, it’s called an editing room.

5) The modern-day part of the movie taking place in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. WHY? This added nothing to the film. It was obviously just thrown in because of Brad Pitt’s efforts to help Louisiana rebuild after the hurricane.

6) That random Kenyan at the beginning of the movie, and his rambling 20-minute long stories. Who was this guy? Where did he come from? That’s right, WE DON’T KNOW.

7) Benjamin’s father gave him up moments after he was born. Yet 15 years later, he recognized him as he was leaving a brothel??? At that point, Benjamin just looked like an 80 year old man. Ridiculous.

8) In the beginning of the film, the dying woman’s daughter exclaimed, “Mom! I didn’t know you were a dancer.” But the mother OWNED AND OPERATED a dance studio until she was in her 70s. Of course you knew she was a dancer, you idiot. Did you think she picked up those pirouette skills in a slaughterhouse?

For me, the most aggravating part of the movie came when Benjamin left his wife and 1-year old daughter because he didn’t want his wife to “raise two children.” But he had at least 3 DECADES of good life left when he abandoned them. He could have raised his daughter until she was in her 30s. But no. He instead skipped out on his family and traveled the world on his motorcycle. Nice.

Bottom line: this movie was 3 hours of nothing. No emotion, no tears, no laughs. Even worse, the actions in the film frequently contradicted the main “love is all that matters” message the film tried to deliver. If love is all that matters, why did Benjamin leave his wife and baby? And why did his wife later say it was good that he left? And WHY is this dying woman only NOW telling her daughter about the great love of her life?

This movie was a pointless, rambling, piece of S*** mess. I HATED IT. The guy in front of me actually fell asleep. And was snoring. And that says more than this review could.
And now, five things I exclaimed (more than once) while watching “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”:

1. “What time is it???”
2. “Why does Brad Pitt’s hair looks so greasy?”
3. “What does THAT have to do with anything?”
4. “I can’t see ANYTHING. Does this movie have to be so dark?”
5. “What time is it now?”

Bought an IDE drive and the screwed one is sata. Still installed the IDE and in process of putting Vista onto it (black edition). Hopefully a few days of nice new clean installed PC then violate it with downloads. At least by it dying I have got rid of all the bloody mobile driver shit.
